Crossings Wins National Home Builders Award

The Crossings Wins National Home Builders Award!
The Crossings at Geneva recently won a Best in Condominium Unit Design Award from 50+ Housing Council of the National Association of Home Builders. Wayde Bultema accepted the award for Covenant Construction Company in Orlando Florida at the NAHB Awards Banquet.
Aging In Place Features
Contributing to the Crossings recognition for best in design are
aging-in-place features.
These give the active adult the opportunity to enjoy all life has to offer knowing they can live comfortably in their home for years to come without the stress and challenge of having to move to another location as they grow older.
Being all single level, the Crossings at Geneva's floor plans are an obvious choice for buyers whose single family multi-level homes have become not only more room than they use or need, but are difficult to navigate with stairs becoming less manageable.
Entry ways
All entry and access ways at the Crossings are ADA compatible. Elevators as well as two stairways provide access from the garage area to the individual homes.
Levered door handles are used on the entry doors as well as the doors to the bedrooms and bathrooms, which are all 36" wide.
Electrical Outlets
Electrical outlets are located 18" from the floor instead of the normal 12" and lights switches are 42" instead of 48".
Bathrooms
Master bathrooms come standard with whirlpool tups and walk-in showers, which for safety and health issues can be equipped with grab bars and a folding shower seat. Vanities in the bathrooms are 36" in height and highline toilets are also available. Crossings wins National Home Builders Award for this and other aging-in-place convenience features.
Security and Safety
A state of the art security system, featuring sprinkler heads in each room, a hard wired smoke detector/fire alarm and a closed circuit TV monitor to the front door are included in each home.
Heating and Air Conditioning
All homes have a utility closet in the hallway adjacent to their front door which contains a 91% efficient Carrier furnace and Puron refrigerant air conditioner controlled by individual thermostats in each home.
Kitchens
The kitchens come standard with site-by-side refrigerators, cook tops with front controls and easy to use microwaves and dishwashers. The kitchen cabinets are 36" in height, and can be designed with Lazy Susans, pull-out drawers and roll-out tray racks. Kitchen cabinets also feature under cabinet task lighting.
Laundry
Every home also comes with a laundry tub and washer and dryer.
Storage and Garage Facilities
Storage is provided in the temperature controlled garage in front of the individual parking spaces and extra storage for homeowners is conveniently located in the storage room on the same floor as the unit itself. The garage is well-lit 24 hours a day and has a locked glass enclosed vestibule that allows access to the elevator into the building.
Architecture
The Crossings at Geneva consists of traditional brick and stone buildings, surrounded by lush landscaping, gardens, brick patio, gazebo and putting green. Large, recessed balconies are aesthetically complimentary to the architectural style of the buildings as well as enjoyable for the homeowner. The Crossings is ideally located near shipping, restaurants, bike paths, golf courses and wellness facility.
Quality and convenience are the heart of the Crossings design plan, giving active adults peace of mine and the time to enjoy the best of their lives.
